If you visit our website
Our website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and it has no forms. Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google when the page loads.
3. Where we get your information
Most information comes directly from you, for example when you email us, call us or send us your CV. We may also collect information from publicly available professional sources, such as LinkedIn, professional networks, conference speaker lists, published research and code repositories, and from referrals by people who know you. If we collect your information from a source other than you, we will tell you within one month of first contacting you and point you to this notice.
4. How we use your information and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiries, for our legitimate interests in running our business and answering the people who contact us.
- To provide recruitment and talent services, including identifying suitable roles or candidates, arranging introductions and interviews, and managing the process. We rely on our legitimate interests and, where we have an agreement with you, on taking steps to enter into or perform that agreement.
- To identify potential candidates through talent mapping and search, for our legitimate interests in finding the best people for our clients. You can object to this at any time.
- To share your details with a client. We will always discuss a specific opportunity with you and get your agreement before we send your CV or details to a prospective employer.
- To manage our client relationships, including invoicing and keeping records, for the performance of our contracts and our legitimate interests.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example tax, accounting and regulatory record-keeping.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
5. Who we share it with
- Clients and prospective employers, only with your agreement and only for the specific opportunity we have discussed.
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as email, file storage, IT and website hosting providers. They may only use your information on our instructions.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Authorities, where we are required to by law.
6. International transfers
We work with organisations in the UK and the United States, and some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. When your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as a UK adequacy decision (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement. If we introduce you to a client outside the UK, we will make this clear to you first.
7. How long we keep it
- Candidate information: up to two years after our last meaningful contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or agree to us keeping it for longer.
- Client and business records: for as long as we work together, and up to six years afterwards for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
- Enquiries that do not lead to further contact: up to 12 months.
8. Keeping it secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure, access-controlled systems and multi-factor authentication. We limit access to people who need it to do their work.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information

To exercise any of these rights, email charlie@adeypartners.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
